Leading Business Personalities to Offer Practical Advice at NYC Orthodox Jewish Business Expo

You’d be hard pressed to find a lineup of speakers more qualified to offer winning business advice. Likewise, you’d be hard pressed to find a more diverse and pertinent list of business topics that you learn about within a mere three-and-a-half-hour conference.

This is opportunity knocking…and it’s only a few weeks away.

The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce’s NYC Business Conference and Expo is a dream come true for business leaders and entrepreneurs from throughout the region. This major event will be held on Friday, September 15, at the prestigious New York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan, in conjunction with the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, a networking behemoth that serves over 30,000 business and civic leaders spanning the general New York business world.

The business conference will take place between 9:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. (The expo floor will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.) Nine prestigious speakers will address the conference, including several female speakers addressing female entrepreneurs in particular.

Gregg Bishop, commissioner of the NYS Department of Small Business Services, will open the conference and field audience questions. Renowned business leader and motivational speaker Charlie Harary, Esq. will discuss the traits of top performers. David Rosen, former director of operations at Starbucks and current chairman of the Chamber’s Small Business Alliance, will share the secrets of managing and growing your business. At Starbucks, Mr. Rosen oversaw remarkable growth of his franchises through various innovations, such as selling bananas and personalizing cups, which caught the eye of CEO Howard Shultz and other business leaders.

On the tech end, David Konigsberg of Optimal Targeting, a Google Premier partner, will address the secrets of utilizing Google to grow your business. Chaim Shapiro, M.Ed., director of the Office for Student Success at Touro College, will share his vast expertise regarding the potential of LinkedIn to provide business success. New York attorney Nathan Renov will deliver a “crash course” on intellectual property law, particularly as it relates to protecting a business’s IP address.

The “Women in the Workforce” segment of the conference will feature presentations by Rachel Van Tosh, deputy commissioner of the Division of Business Services for the NYC Department of Small Business Services; Rebecca Harary, entrepreneur and NYC Council candidate; and Libby Hikind, founder and CEO of GrantWatch, a noted expert on funding resources for non-profit and small business advancement.

Best of all, attendance at the expo and business conference is free, as the event is generously sponsored by an array of prestigious corporations and government agencies. “It is exciting to offer our community a platform at such a prestigious and energetic event in the heart of the New York regional economy,” says Duvi Honig, founder and CEO of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to welcoming our community’s entrepreneurs and helping them advance towards their dreams.”
