Are you a high school teen or parent in Bergen County? On Sunday, November 15th, at11am join teens and parents at BCHSJS to hear a speaker brought by StandWithUs. Hussein Aboubakr shares his connection to Israel as a former Muslim and Egyptian prisoner, imprisoned for studying the Hebrew language. He survived torture, his family disowning him, and many other difficult trials. Laugh, cry, learn, and be inspired by Hussein’s incredible journey. Event will end by 12:00pm. RSVP to Galeet at [email protected] subject line “RSVP NOV 15TH.”

“Above and Beyond” Film Screening

Enjoy a screening of the acclaimed film “Above and Beyond,” followed by a Q&A with the film’s writer, Sophie Sartain. Miriam Peretz: Mother of the Chayalim

Miriam Peretz, mother of fallen Golani Brigade soldiers, Uriel and Eliraz Peretz, will share her story and speak about the current situation in Israel.  Ms. Peretz is known in Israel as the “mother of the chayalim”. She is a public speaker and educator. Her autobiography, Shirat Miriam, was published in 2011. Event co-sponsored by the One Family Fund and Ben Porat Yosef.
