‘PAC the House’ Begins at Hackensack Performing Arts Center

Hackensack Main Street Business Alliance and the City of Hackensack have announced the inaugural season of the “PAC the House Series” at the newly renovated Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC). The PAC the House Series will offer an array of distinctive acts that both co-sponsors—the Hackensack Main Street Business Alliance and the City of Hackensack—carefully vetted to feature both well-known performers and up-and-coming artists not typically found on other area stages. The PAC the House Series premiers on November 11, with performances by Grammy-nominated jazz/pop vocalist Jane Monheit and jazz singer, pianist and songwriter Tony DeSare at 8 p.m.

“The PAC the House Series brings together a level of talent we don’t often see in venues around the region,” noted Main Street Business Alliance board member Edward Decker, who spearheaded the development of the PAC the House Series. “This special collection of performances is comprised of exceptional Broadway-quality talent in music, comedy and theater that ticket holders may not have heard of, but are sure to become new favorites. With this series, we wanted to cultivate an experience that was in line with the hip ambiance that we are all working to create in downtown Hackensack.”

In addition to Monheit and DeSare on opening night, the PAC the House Series will also feature performances by Alyson Williams with the Nat Adderley, Jr. Trio; guitarist/singer John Waite; Roy Wood, Jr. and comedian Michelle Wolf: and Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez. Tickets range from $40 for regular tickets to $60 for premium seats in the Hackensack Meridian Health Theater, the Center’s brand new, state-of-the-art, intimate, 240-seat theater. A season pass for the PAC the House Series features a 20 percent discount for a limited time for tickets to all five performances.

“As a co-sponsor of PAC the House, the Main Street Business Alliance is proud to play an important role in the revitalization of downtown Hackensack, which is poised to become the vanguard of Bergen County’s arts and culture scene once again. The Series brings together performers with a variety of cultural and artistic backgrounds that our community might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience. When the arts succeed, we all succeed,” said Jerome Lombardo, chairman of the Main Street Business Alliance.

Hackensack Mayor John P. Labrosse, Jr. said, “Our newly renovated Performing Arts Center is the crown jewel of Hackensack’s emerging downtown redevelopment and it promises to deliver a unique cultural experience and first-rate entertainment for all. We believe that this outstanding community amenity will provide a major push toward our goal of making Hackensack the best small city in New Jersey.”
