Congregation Bnai Yeshurun and The National Association of Chevra Kadisha (NASCK) invites the community to a yom iyun on Sunday February 11, at Congregation Bnai Yeshurun, 641 West Englewood Avenue, Teaneck. At 9:15, Rabbi Elchonon Zohn, president of NASCK and member of the Vaad Harabonim of Queens, will speak to the community about “What You Need to Know About Preparing for the Inevitable” and will explore halachic wills, hospice and palliative care, caring for elderly parents, purchasing plots, pre-need versus at-need and encouraging Jewish burial as a modern-day meit mitzvah. Following this presentation there will be a program at 11:30 for chevra kadisha members that will go through a review and explanation of the basic tahara process.
