Lubavitch on Palisades Dinner Scheduled for January 12

Tenafly—Lubavitch on the Palisades’ 18th Annual Gala Dinner and Chinese Auction celebrating “Chai -18 Years” will be held at the Rockleigh Country Club in Rockleigh, New Jersey on Sunday evening, January 12, at 5:00 p.m. Lubavitch is honoring Gary and Francine Lahm, Ezra and Orna Sofer, and Jon and Elizabeth Warms for their devotion, dedication, and hard work.

Gary serves as the Bergen County Liaison for Autism NJ and is known for his willingness to help others. He also delivers Kosher Meals on Wheels for the elderly on a weekly basis. Francine is currently the Director of Human Resources with Sills Cummis & Gross P.C., a 250-person law firm. She currently holds the position of Vice President with the NYC Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, a not-for-profit organization providing education, networking and programming for the legal community.

Both Ezra and Orna have been active members of Lubavitch on the Palisades for many years. Through Orna’s profession as a Real Estate Sales Associate, she has introduced many families to Lubavitch on the Palisades who currently attend various community programs, preschool, elementary school, camp and Hebrew School.

An active member of the community, Jon is a past president of B’nai B’rith of Englewood and the Rotary Club of Tenafly. At the Kaplen JCC, he teaches courses on the iPad and is an officer of the Senior Computer Club. He is a member of MIT’s Educational Council. His wife Elizabeth is a former school psychologist and is currently active in the Council for Jewish Women and the Friends of the Tenafly Library. She has been a member of the Kaplen JCC for 46 years.
