This past Shabbat, Lubavitch on the Palisades hosted “Shabbat in the Heights,” a Shabbat experience in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Beginning Friday afternoon and continuing until Saturday night, the Tenafly community spent Shabbat together with their rabbis and rebbetzins in the heart of the Chabad Lubavitch community, home to thousands of Chasidim. Over 30 adults and 20 children spent Shabbat together and had the opportunity to pray in 770 (Chabad Lubavitch Headquarters), visit the room where the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, held his private audiences and visit the home of the Rebbe at 1304 President Street.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity was an amazing experience for everyone who joined. “What an incredible Shabbos, I was truly privileged to be there,” and “Thank you for such a moving inspiring weekend. We all had such a great time” was some of the feedback Lubavitch on the Palisades received. Lubavitch on the Palisades would like to thank Rabbi Shain and Rabbi Gershovitz for arranging this incredible weekend.
