(Courtesy of YUConnects) The YUConnects Annual Benefit Evening will take place on Saturday night, March 9, at the home of Ellie and Dr. Amit Schwartz in Teaneck. Rabbi Larry Rothwachs has agreed to be the featured speaker on “The Five Greatest Threats to Relationships in the 21st Century.” It promises to be an informative and enjoyable evening for the entire community. While this is not a singles event, the proceeds will be used to fund innovative programs and activities. Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome. RSVP appreciated at [email protected]

Additionally, YUConnects has announced a new YUConnects Bergen County initiative. Thanks to an anonymous and generous donor, Naomi Landsman has been hired to serve as a Bergen County connector. Landsman will concentrate on making match suggestions for Bergen County singles, working closely with the YUConnects team. Landsman has been teaching at RYNJ for over 20 years (and will continue to do so), and has made many shidduchim already.

Landsman is available to meet with singles from Bergen County on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings. She is currently focusing on young men and women ages 22-30 and can be reached by email at [email protected] or at (201) 914-5434. Landsman’s services and YUConnects are not limited to YU students and alumni.

Please note that in addition to Landsman, there are dozens of volunteer connectors/matchmakers and Mindy Eisenman, staff connector, making matches for YUConnects members worldwide. They just celebrated their 350th engagement this week, and are always looking to assist in building future Jewish homes.

YUConnects is a “one stop” dating resource with a friendly office that offers unique social events, educational forums, personal guidance and targeted match suggestions. It is self-funded, housed at YU’s Center for the Jewish Future and open to the entire Jewish community. For more information on the program, visit www.yuconnects.com  or call 646-592-4259.
