Jewish Center of Teaneck Hosts Community Yom Ha’atzmaut Celebration

(Courtesy of JCOT) On Wednesday, May 8, the Jewish Center of Teaneck hosted the entire community for a program marking Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut.

As part of this program, our community made a siyum Mishnayot in memory of the over 23,000 soldiers who have given their lives in defense of the Jewish homeland, as well as the 3,500 victims of terror.

There was “Words of Inspiration” from Lieutenant Omry Naftali, IDF combat officer and a veteran. Following Tefillat Arvit Chagigit, there was dancing in honor of Yom Ha’atzmaut with music led by Jonathan Rimberg.

Special thanks to Drs. Morton and Esther Fridman, Dr. Richard and Ellen Gertler, Nathan J and Shari Lindenbaum, and Yossi and Rochel Stechler for their support of this program.

This event was co-sponsored by the following shuls:

Bais Medrash of Bergenfield, Congregation Beth Aaron, Congregation Beth Abraham, Congregation Bnai Yeshurun, Jewish Center of Teaneck, Keter Torah, Netivot Shalom, Ohr Saadya, Rinat Yisrael, Shaarei Ora, Shaare Tefillah, Young Israel of Teaneck, and Zichron Mordechai.
