Bergenfield resident and Hoover School fifth grade student Alvin Maracallo, 10, was tragically killed on Memorial Day in an accident with an NJ Transit bus while he was riding his bike near the Bergenfield library. Until June 7, the library will act as a drop-off site for sympathy cards/gift cards for the family to cover funeral expenses. Donations may be dropped off at the second floor children’s room.
