Tenafly—Giants of Generosity has just confirmed Chopped Jr. 2014 contestant Chef Eitan Bernath, a Yavneh student and Teaneck resident, has agreed to be the special guest host for the student competition at the second annual Celebrity Food & Wine Show on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Clinton Inn in Tenafly. Bernath recently achieved his personal goal with a recent appearance on Chopped Jr., the popular Food Network program, and has appeared on several cooking shows within the metro area including “Table for Two” and the Chabad Chanukah Telethon. He was recently awarded the Tzivos Hashem 2014 “Power of Jewish Children Award.”

The event will include a competition with students from Bergen Community College’s culinary school as well as a Grand Tasting with local restaurants and wine vendors from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The Celebrity Show will begin promptly at 3:30 pm, and guests include MasterChef Junior, Logan Guleff, and Executive Chef Maneet Chauhan, author, restaurateur, and a judge on the Food Network’s “Chopped” program.

The cook-off between two up-and-coming student chefs from Bergen Community College who are studying Culinary Arts will be hosted by Doug Singer of Daily Food & Wine, and Celebrity judge, ABC-7 Eyewitness News Anchor Lori Stokes.

Chef Maneet will present a cooking demonstration and will be signing her new cookbook, Flavors of My World: A Culinary Tour through 25 Countries, which will be available for purchase.

A Grand Tasting exhibitor event featuring sample plates from many of New Jersey’s finest restaurants and tastings from prestigious wineries and fine spirit vendors, as well as food-related vendors selling their wares, begins promptly at 1:00 pm and continues throughout the afternoon. There will be live music, a disc jockey, a silent auction, and much more.

All guests are asked to bring breakfast cereals, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, and diapers to benefit the Office of Concern Food Bank in Englewood, NJ, which feeds more than 850 needy families a week.

Tickets for the Celebrity Food & Wine Show 2015 are $65 per person, which includes both the celebrity showcase, with Chef Maneet and MasterChef Junior Logan, and admission to the Grand Tasting event.
