NBN to Offer Expedited Licensing For Health-Care Professionals Planning Aliyah

Aliyah fairs across North America expected to attract thousands of Aliyah minded individuals

Seeking to help potential immigrants to Israel make informed choices, Nefesh B’Nefesh (NBN) will be conducting a week of Aliyah mega events and fairs in five major cities across North America together with The Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael, JNF-USA and Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah & Immigrant Absorption.

The Aliyah events, to be held in Los Angeles, Montreal, Toronto, Florida and New York between March 8th and 15th, will incorporate Aliyah-related seminars and workshops and an Israeli vendor marketplace. Israeli professionals from a variety of Aliyah related fields, including shippers, accountants, financial planners, insurance, healthcare, real estate, universities and more, will help prospective Olim advance their Aliyah plans. Real estate developers and agents, Tzofim Garin Tzabar, The Jewish Agency for Israel will also be present at the event.

Participants will benefit from workshops and seminars on topics such as careers in Israel, financial planning, taxes & budgeting, Israeli healthcare and Aliyah rights and benefits. Representatives of The Jewish Agency for Israel will also discuss the process for verifying Aliyah eligibility and the Agency’s programs to help immigrants transition to Israeli life. Nefesh B’Nefesh’s ‘Go North’ and ‘Go South’ programs will be specially highlighted at each of the venues.

The NYC Mega Event will also feature Israeli Ministry of Health officials, who will help immigrants speed up the medical licensing process by submitting applications for Olim who plan to move to Israel soon. These officials will also offer seminars on licensing procedures in medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, nutrition, pharmacology, and more – and provide personal information sessions.
