The North Jersey Jewish Business Alliance in conjunction with Hatzolah of Union City coordinated a meeting for the law enforcement community in preparation for the High Holidays. At the meeting they  discussed increased safety needs during the holidays and enhancement of communication between the Jewish community and the different agencies present. The New Jersey Chaplains Association showed a slide presentation of the different holidays coming up and the specific customs for each holiday that are important for them to be aware of.

In attendance were representatives from the New Jersey State Police, NJ Transit Police, Hudson County Prosecutor’s office, Hudson County Sheriff’s office, Bayonne PD, Hoboken PD, Jersey City PD, North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue, Union City PD and Weehawken PD. The meeting was hosted by United Rescue JC, which works on the model of United Hatzolah in Israel, in cooperation with the Jersey City Medical Center EMS.
