Congregation Anshe Chesed of Linden is happy to share its unique Shavuot schedule with the broader community.

On Shabbat, Parshat Bamidbar, in addition to the ongoing parsha class before Shacharit, a special tikkun erev Shavuot for kids will take place at the Shabbos Park from 5 – 5:30 p.m., led by Rabbi Joshua Hess. On Shavuot night, there will be two concurrent tikkun leil Shavuot programs. One for youth in grades 4-12 that will meet from midnight to 2 a.m., and another for men and women led by Rabbi Hess and Professor Lawrence Schiffman, renowned Judaic Studies professor at NYU. The learning will address various themes contained throughout Masechet Brachot.

On the first day of Shavuot there will be two minyanim for Shacharit: the first at 4:50 a.m., and the second at the regular time of 9 a.m.. On the second day of Shavuot, at 4 p.m., the shul will hold a unique event called the 22-Minute Chumash Siyum will take place at the shul. The entire community is invited to participate in completing the entire Torah together.
