Charlene Aminoff to  Headline Mikvah Yisroel 12th Anniversary Celebration

(Courtesy of Mikvah Yisroel) Charlene Aminoff—the founder and CEO of Gali’s Couture Wigs and an inspiring speaker of international renown—will headline a gala Challah Bake And Mega Raffle supporting Mikvah Yisroel on Sunday, December 8, at Congregation Israel of Springfield, at 7:00 p.m.

Aminoff, a major fashion, lifestyle and parenting Instagram influencer in the Orthodox world, will share her powerful life story to mark the “Bat Mitzvah” of Springfield’s Mikvah Yisroel, whose membership has more than doubled since its establishment.

Participants will also be treated to a hands-on demonstration of unusual challah-braiding techniques, and will customize their challot with a wide array of sweet and savory toppings.

Another highlight of the anniversary celebration will be a mega raffle featuring prizes such as a travel voucher worth $1500; a New York Jets swag bag including tickets, valued at $750; a $300 family admission package to the American Dream Mega Mall, New Jersey’s one-of-a-kind shopping and entertainment destination; and a deluxe Nespresso machine ($250).

After enjoying a strolling buffet of delectable dairy appetizers and desserts, attendees will take home a striking, waterproof Birchat Hafsharat Challah recipe card, custom-designed by renowned Judaica artist Yaeli.

Sponsors of the event are CIS members Ariana Reich and her husband, Adam, who wanted to honor the memory of their mother, Dr. Robin Goldman, “a challah maker extraordinaire. It is especially fitting to be dedicating an event centered around Jewish community to a woman who lived her life serving both her local community and the community at large.”

Established with the help of a major gift by Beverly and Samuel Sirota, Mikvah Yisroel is a “testament to our staunch commitment to the laws of family purity,” noted Michelle Burstein, mikvah co-president.

“The exponential growth of our community could not have happened without Mikvah Yisroel, and the amazing community volunteers who maintain and sustain it,” added Lea Marcus, rebbetzin of Congregation Israel of Springfield.

The RSVP-only Mikvah Yisroel Challah Bake and Mega Raffle is open to women of high school age and older. The $40 admission fee includes a free raffle ticket; individual raffle tickets may be purchased for $25 each.
