Teach NJ Advocates for Passaic/Clifton Community

(Courtesy of Teach NJ) Teach NJ brought Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake to the home of Kenneth and Laura Rosen for a Meet and Greet with the Clifton Jewish community. Assemblyman Gary Schaer co-hosted the evening and spoke about how proud he is to partner with ASW Timberlake on many issues of great importance to the community. Attendees had the opportunity to meet their state assemblywoman and express gratitude for her support of state funding for yeshiva day school services.

Timberlake, whose district represents several towns including Clifton, is on the Assembly Education Committee and the Assembly Science, Innovation and Technology Committee. She has supported increased funding for yeshiva day school children including the historic doubling of school security funding and recent groundbreaking STEM education legislation, and vouched to continue to support our cause.

Community leaders in attendance included: BZ Halberstam, Ari Gross, Dr. Jonathan Gold, Rabbi Yosef Seldowitz and Sharon Schloss.

Teach NJ is excited to continue to work closely with this community to advocate for equitable government funding for yeshivas and day schools.
