Rabbi Greene wrote a beautiful article in his chinuch column (“What Is the Role of the Jewish Educator Outside the Classroom?,” November 2, 2017) about “teachers being teachers outside the classroom.” He quoted and highlighted Rabbi Moshe Schochet. This is a person near and dear to my heart as he is my son. I spoke to Rabbi Greene and he gave me permission to request a correction. Rabbi Schochet is no longer a rebbe at Weinbaum Yeshiva High School in Boca Raton, Florida. As of July 2016, Rabbi Schochet became the head of school of the new girls high school in Boca called “Hadar High School for Girls.” His wife, Michal, is the Judaic Studies principal. They have a ninth and 10th grade now. There are many “snowbirds” from the Bergen County area as well as children of Bergen County residents who grew up in Bergen County but now live in Boca. I just wanted to set the record straight. Thank you for this opportunity. I hope you will print this correction.
