I am a New Jersey-based journalist originally from the Soviet Ukraine. I’ve written on the far-right in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Forward, Politico, etc. I was glad to see your editorial regarding the need to pay attention to what’s going on in Poland (“From a Polish Rally, the All Too Familiar,” November 16, 2017). Unfortunately, the problem goes far beyond Poland. Holocaust distortion and the proliferation of far-right groups is happening in Ukraine, the Baltics, Hungary, Croatia and Slovakia.

I regularly speak at synagogues and federations, and every time I walk away stunned at how little the usually vigilant American Jews are aware of this. I’m really glad you are drawing attention to this; the time may come when Europe’s Jews need American Jews once more.

Thank you again for covering the Poland situation.
