JFS MetroWest is launching a support group for family members of individuals with mental illness entitled “You Are Not Alone—When Someone In Your Family Has a Mental Illness.” The group will provide an opportunity to feel supported by others in a safe and nurturing environment.

The group will be held on Mondays, beginning April 23, from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm at the JFS Office located at 256 Columbia Turnpike, Suite 105 in Florham Park. The cost is $10 per session, and is subsidized by the Eric Eliezer Levenson Foundation for Hope, in memory of Eric, son of Eta and Mark Levenson, and supports programming related to mental health awareness. It is also funded by a grant from the Jewish Funders Network and Genesis Prize Foundation as part of the “Breaking Barriers” initiative aimed at promoting inclusion for those with disabilities in Jewish life.
