Purple Bow Re-Opens With Baby Gift Boutique Chic

In just a short time, The Purple Bow on Queen Anne Road in Teaneck became a staple of local shopping. With its whimsical logo and unique gifts, not to mention the fun fruity smell that welcomes shoppers as they walk into the store, The Purple Bow became a first stop for baby gifts, Chanukah time, camp supplies and personalized items. Over time, their name became known not just in Teaneck, but in surrounding areas too, and they now ship their adorable gifts all over the United States.

As baby gifts turned into a main staple requested by their clientele, Sarabeth Fein and her staff decided it was time to have a stronger focus on the baby items. Now reopened, they still have their signature smell and look, but also an extensive selection of baby items. Each pajama set or blanket looks softer than the next, and customers wonder if they are as soft as they look (they’re softer, actually).

Any good baby boutique needs a registry, and since The Purple Bow is more than just a “baby store,” they have their own registry too. Customers are invited to sit down with one of the staff of The Purple Bow for individualized attention to discuss what items they may want added to their computerized registry. With the registry, parents will receive an adorable Purple Bow branded S’well bottle with their new logo.

For those who already know the way The Purple Bow curates their inventory, they know that the baby products will be the height of baby fashion (yes, that’s a thing), as well as items not available at regular department stores. The Purple Bow aims to bring inventory to the community that is not readily available otherwise, thereby eliminating the need for people to travel to Monsey, Brooklyn or the Five Towns. They also participate in all the local school discount cards.

A walk around the store makes it easy to see how they are achieving the goal of providing a boutique baby store experience. In looking to serve the community, Fein still carries customer favorites like the Aden+Anais blankets, but also carries Boogie Blankets, a brand only available from select vendors and one of The Purple Bow’s most popular baby items. Lil Leggs brand of leggings, which many order from Brooklyn vendors, can now be found locally at The Purple Bow, as can soft, adorably patterned pajamas, and they even go up to size 10 for both boys and girls. The Purple Bow is keeping their pricing competitive and will not only match prices, but beat them if an item is found elsewhere at a better price.

Sizes range from preemie and up, they do on-the-spot monogramming in vinyl (think of a personalized water bottle, for example), lots of velour and the softest materials imaginable for those delicate newborns—even on burp cloths.

Because The Purple Bow still enjoys being a part of the community experience, they have not completely done away with all their toys and novelty items. They still carry flippies sequin backpacks, Bari Lynn accessories, novelty plush stuffed animals with removable pieces, squishies, pillows, cushions and other latest tween fads and LOL brand projects. They will also have inventory changing as they cater to seasonal demands, so keep an eye on their Facebook and Instagram accounts for current stock.
