It is a rite of passage for every Bruriah student and one that alumnae remember fondly decades after graduation. Veteran educator and author Mr. Joel Glazer’s renowned ‘Diplomacy’ tournament is now underway for Bruriah juniors. The game pits students against each other as they play out the dynamics of World War I, each representing different countries. The stakes are high as students prepare strategic maneuvers based on history that they research and act out.

As one student declared enthusiastically, “It really brings the history to life in a way that reading it from a book never can.” Indeed, the name Mr. Glazer has become synonymous with the word ‘diplomacy’ within the halls of Bruriah and throughout the world wherever Bruriah graduates may be found.
