Ben Porat Yosef students marked Rosh Hashanah with thoughtful programs throughout the week. Middle school students held their own slichot services in the evening, while elementary school students participated in slichot of their own in the morning. All students used the stream on the side of the BPY property to throw their sins away during a school tashlich. First grade students held a meaningful Rosh Hashanah seder with many symbolic foods and the youngest students, in early childhood, had a lot of fun learning about how a shofar is made during a visit with the Shofar Factory.
