SAR HS juniors had their annual BBQ on SAR’s field on a beautiful, sunny day and enjoyed a delicious array of food while taking a break from their busy schedules. During the BBQ, students could be seen jumping on huge inflatable obstacle courses, playing soccer, frisbee, basketball and reconnecting with teachers and each other. The event ended with a Dvar Torah delivered by Simone Shteingart and Birkat hamazon led by Coby Kranz. Of course, no grade wide event is complete without getting everyone together for a grade picture. Students and teachers reflected on how nice it was to spend time outside of the classroom and to take a few minutes to enjoy each others’ company. The junior grade returned to class rejuvenated for these upcoming weeks of AP exams and finals—but are most excited to return in the fall as SAR’s senior Class of 2019! A special shout out to the fabulous chefs: Gavi Kaplan, Amichai Schleifer, Dean Bilenker, Yona Bergman, Gabriel Karsch, AJ Eisenberg and Naftali Silvera—and Mr. Yeshaya!!
