JKHA middle school students enjoyed an end of year field trip that combined STEM learning and fun when they traveled to the Branch Brook Park Roller Skating Center in Newark, for STEM roller skating. The trip was a unique educational experience where students learned how the concepts of science, technology, engineering and math can be found in everyday experiences, even fun experiences like roller skating.

Following the completion of the one hour STEM lesson that covered the science of roller skating, motion and rink design, music, math and roller skating, acoustics and rink design and engineering magic and lighting, the students then enjoyed roller skating to reinforce what they learned and to enjoy time together with their peers at the close of the school year.
