Bruriah Middle School Prepares For Pesach With Virtual Fun

The Bruriah Middle School has been actively preparing, via remote learning, for Pesach with interactive lessons and robust programming. Three of the middle school teachers offered Pesach inspiration by presenting the differences between matza and chametz, teaching the true definition of freedom, and transmitting lessons on Pesach in numbers. Bruriah High School junior Ahuva Becker ran a Kahoot with Pesach trivia; it tested the students’ knowledge in a fun, creative virtual environment. Leah Schwartz offered students a Pesach cooking demo to inspire home activity and family involvement. She taught students how to make meringues and strawberry ice cream, which is a cooking skill that most students had never tried before.

An amazing collaborative project was introduced, the Bruriah Middle School Pesach Recipe Guide. All students were asked to participate in which they submitted a Pesach recipe on a full google slide under different categories of food. This helped students prepare for Pesach as well as use a platform to store information that can be used for many years to come. Students also enjoyed a Q&A on Hilchot Pesach as well. Bruriah Middle School is invested in continuing its top notch education virtually while simultaneously building students’ excitement as Pesach approaches.
