Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Math & Science Competition at TABC

The Herschel Solnica, z”l, Memorial Math Science Expo, which has been a wonderful program at TABC for over 20 years, recently took place on February 17th. Nine students presented their original math and science projects on the following topics:

Matan Leff: “Creating Viable Extended Space Travel”; Yitzchak Bazian: “The Power in Storms”; Doni Weber: “Superconductors”; Abraham Benjamin: “Earth vs. Venus”; Avi Cooper: “Peripatetic Thinking: Does it Help?”; Hillel & Yehuda Koslowe: “Novel Insights into the Square Root of 2”; Yair Knoller & Jonah Ganchrow: “The Golden Ratio and its Influence on Stability in Nature”; A.J. Book (and Albert Einstein): “Theory of Relativity and the Aron” and Orrin Kigner: “Is a Wrestling Arm Throw Potentially Dangerous?”

Judges for the evening were: Mrs. Arielle Sheinbein, M.Sc. Chair Sciences, RYNJ; Mr. Avi Goldenberg, Esq.; and Mr. Ken Harris, IT Director at TABC.

Although it was a tough decision, the First Place Award went to Avi Cooper, 2nd place to Hillel & Yehuda Koslowe and 3rd place to Orrin Kigner. Congratulations to all the participants on a job well done!
