MGBL’s March Madness continued this past weekend, as all teams progressed and the second grade champions were crowned. After two exciting semifinal games (both games were decided by under three baskets), the stage was set for the GOATS to play Hey Boyzz for the 2018 second grade MGBL title.

Hey Boyzz, led by Mendel Szokovski’s game high 11 points, and and Nate Brotsky nine points played stifling defense and held the GOATS to only 14 points at the half. In the second half, the GOATS, led by MVP Shai Bickel’s 10 points proved to be more than Hey Boyzz could handle living up to their name.

New for this year, MGBL will be presenting the members of all championship teams with Haggadahs and trophies. This message is the essence of what Mitch Gross z”l was all about and what the league that carries his name tries to exemplify every weekend.
