BBO’s Bellcar Electric defeated TBO’s Camp Shalom 4-3 in extra innings. Camp Shalom led 3-2 after the top of the 7th inning. In the bottom of the 7th, Bellcar’s Daniel Yablok delivered a two-out base hit past the shortstop, driving home Dovid Allen with the tying run, with Benny Friedman racing home behind him to win the game.

The G-Raters Red Sox defeated Team AO 4-2 in a tight game to advance to the semi-finals of the 2/3 division in TBO/BBO. The G-Raters led 4-0 after the first following some great defensive plays from Jacob Schmutter and Shamai Kirschenbaum and the big hit coming in the form of a 2-run triple from Netanel Bromberg following back to back singles from Yakir Rosenberg and Jacob Gervis and RBIs from Aron Edell and Yoni Kirschenbaum. However, the G-Raters would fail to score the rest of the game. The key point in the game was when Team AO would load the bases with two outs trailing 4-2 and their best hitter, Jack Schmidt, at bat looking to tie the game. Jack would hit a line drive to center field that looked to, at the very least, tie the game, if not give Team AO the lead, but the G-Raters’ leadoff hitter and centerfielder Yakir Rosenberg made a spectacular running catch to end the inning and likely save the G-Raters’ season. Team AO would also leave the bases loaded in the top of the sixth after Jacob Gervis would strike out Team AO’s batter to end the game and give the G-Rater’s a birth in the semi-finals.

BBO’s Kindersmile Cubs pulled out an extra-inning walkoff win against TBO’s Jewish Link of NJ. Then, after holding the The Jewish Link in the top of the 7th, Kindersmile’s Nathan Neufeld walked with the bases loaded to complete the win.

Richards Manufacturing outlasted BBO’s Lakeland Bank Brewers last Sunday in a thrilling 2-1 nail-biter. Starting pitcher Abie Fields tossed three shutout innings for Richards, matching Lakeland’s Yisroel Shaffren frame for frame. With fireballer Gavi Greenspan out for the postseason, Richards’ Mickey Greenberg came on to throw three innings of one-run ball for his team. Down 1-0 in the bottom of the 5th, back-to-back RBI doubles by Greenberg and Jeb Fields gave Richards the lead, which held up.

Earlier in the day, J&J Pharmacy beat HODS by a final score of 6-4. J&J staked itself to an early 6-2 lead, thanks to RBI hits by J&J’s Daniel Eckman and Avi Schnek. HODS clawed its way back behind strong relief pitching by Isaac Kantowitz and Joe Ruditsky, but J&J hung on for the W behind the efforts of relievers Joshua Rabitz and Eckman.
