Moriah had another strong victory against Yeshivat Noam, winning 45-37.
After a slow start, Moriah got rolling with help from Ethan Schechter’s three buckets made from mid-range. Isaac Horowitz led the game with 15 points, followed by Schechter with 8. David Cohen led Moriah with the best field goal percentage, shooting 100% from the floor. Moriah crashed the boards aggressively, getting 21 rebounds; 9 of them were offensive. Noam put up a strong fight against Moriah, always keeping the score within 10 points. Yoni Mann led Noam with 14 points, however, Moriah’s half-court press worked so well, leading to 19 steals, led by Horowitz with 9 and Rafi Lewis with 6. Lewis was extremely explosive on the fast break (he is always on the fast break), scoring 6 points. He had 3 lay-ups, however, one of them stood out, splitting two defenders on a sweet euro step.
It was a great game to watch, both teams scoring at will, back and forth. With this, will Moriah be ready to take on RYNJ on their home court on March 12? Stay tuned . . .
