TABC Junior Hockey Holds Championships

On Saturday night TABC Jr Hockey finished it fall session with two championship games.

In the Jr division the Rangers met the Sharks. The Rangers raced out to a lead, led by regular season and playoff MVP Jacob Gervis scoring two goals and assisting on another. Shua Kopstick and Jacob Schmutter also scored for the Rangers and goalie Ian Mandelbaum made several key saves as the Rangers defeated the Sharks 4-1. Azarya Rosenberg scored the lone goal for the sharks and goalie Chaim Shaffren made several spectacular saves.

After the game, many regular season awards were handed out:

First team all stars were Ian Mandelbaum, Aaron Brothman, Rafi Karasick, Adin Katler and Eitan Adler.

Second team all stars were Uri Mechlin, Jake Rubinstein, Joe Ruditzky, Pacey Hornblass and Eli Stein.

Most improved player was Jeremy Chaitovsky.

Breakout player was Shai Sabo.

Sportsmanship award went to Binyamin Katz.

In the Sr game, the Rangers jumped out on the Golden Knights and never took the foot off the gas pedal. Playoff MVP Noam Becker led the way with two goals and Benzion Keiser and Yoel Gellman also scored, leading the rangers to a 4-0 victory. Akiva Rotenberg had a relatively easy game in goal as regular season MVP Noam Kornwasser and Moshe Keiser shut down the Knights all night.

After the game a few regular season awards were given out:

Most improved player was Shlomo Mittel.

Breakout player was Menachem Rothenberg.

Sportsmanship award was Zevi Burg.

The winter session of TABC Jr Hockey will begin in late January.
