This past weekend kicked off what promises to be another exciting season of MGBL High School basketball. The High School League is now in its second year and is proud to showcase some of the top yeshiva basketball players in Bergen County and beyond. The rosters are made up of young men who love the game and love to play. Although it is comprised of mostly Bergen County players, boys travel from Riverdale and Monsey to play in this unique league.

The games this past weekend were exciting and fast-paced, showcasing the tremendous local athletes we have. This first time MGBL High School observer was amazed by the 3-point proficiency of the boys. I watched four of the eight games this weekend and the sharp shooting still has me in awe. In Sunday’s Ellkay vs. FZ Collection game, team Ellkay scored 48 points from behind the arc.

If you are looking for exciting basketball to watch on a Motzei Shabbos or Sunday evening, come on down to watch them play, you will not be disappointed. Check out the complete schedule at MGBL.org
