The summer travel baseball season is in full swing and TBO’s 8U team has started very strong with a 5-0 record. Led by travel veterans Jack Ruditzky, Joshua Markovitz, Liev Wolin, Judah Vogel, and Jordy Sheinfeld, the team has beaten Ramsey, Paramus Vortelone, Glen Rock, and two teams from Teaneck Southern.

There are definitely some tough tests in the upcoming schedule, but coaches David Ruditzky and Norm Blumenthal like what they see thus far. “Our recipe has always been that we don’t look for walks and all kids are encouraged to swing. That’s how we will be successful,” explained the coaches.

The team boasts four stellar pitchers in Ruditzky, Markovitz, Wolin, and newcomer Shalom Spraragen. Sam Wartelsky, David Grunstein, Shay Fields, Eli Altman, and Gavi Weinstein round out the remainder of the team.

Between the compact schedule and the regular practices it’s a grueling two months, but the kids love it and they’re all improving tremendously.
