On August 17th the Noshers won the Bnai Brith Softball League’s B Division Championship.

After starting the season at 1-5, the Noshers caught fire in the second half finishing the regular season at 8-6 and capturing the 5th seed of nine teams heading into the Double Elimination playoffs.

The Noshers continued to play well and ultimately beat the Sea Dogs to win the championship 21-18 and 30-0 with solid pitching from Jack Sarna. Team Captain Steve Linn said, “We’ve been playing in this league for over 15 years and now have some of our players’ kids on the team. It was nice for us to win our first championship and look forward to next season.
