The Frisch JV Girls Soccer team had an impressive six and two record going into the semifinals. One of the Cougars told the Jewish Link of Bergen County, that “they were nervous” to be facing Central in game, “because they this would be the first time the two teams faced each other. Since they are in different divisions, they did not play in the regular season.

The game was exciting and intense.  With thirteen seconds reaming in the first Quarter, freshman Elisheva Kranzler scored to break the 0-0 tie. Rebecca Gellis followed with three goals, Naomi Manas and Jordana Schiff added one each.  Goalie Izzy Muss played a terrific game only allowing one goal.

It was a well-played game, but the Cougars pulled through with a 6-1 victory and advanced to the championship game. Unfortunately that is where this teams championship run came to an end. On Tuesday night may 21, they faced a tough undefeated SAR team. It was a hard fought game, but SAR walked away the victor 5-3.
